In July 1999 I received the Oscar Lewis Award from the San Francisco History Association in recognition of my contribution toward the preservation of the city's history.

In recent years I have given dozens of lectures (with slides) to local historical societies, libraries, and bookstores. I have also given similar presentations at visiting conventions, offering delegates and spouse groups a unique insight into the city's colorful past.

Testimonials include:

"Our client was extremely happy and the participants were most impressed. Positive comments are still flowing in from all over the country." International Marketing Incentives, Glendale, California.

"We were pleased to see that the attendees rated your lecture highest of any single event at the conference." —  Taylor Engineering, New Jersey.

"The audience gained an appreciation of San Francisco's fascinating history through your coverage of the experiences of the citizens who lived there." —  Edison Electric Institute, Washington D.C.

If you are planning an event in San Francisco and would like me to give a presentation, please email me at 1cwu772@comcast.net.
